Richard provides advice on legal and personal issues arising on separation of married and common-law partners including division of marital property, child guardianship, custody and access, child support and spousal support.

Richard is a founding member of the Victoria Collaborative Law Program and believes that the resolution of family disputes through collaborative family law is an open and respectful process that is an important step to address a client’s interests in the ongoing relationships with their family members.

Richard currently serves as a Bencher of the Law Society of British Columbia, the society which acts to protect the public and regulate the legal profession. Throughout his career, he has been a dedicated contributor to the legal profession and to the community of Greater Victoria.
