Bea provides legal advice to clients regarding issues arising on the separation of married and common-law partners including division of marital property, child guardianship, custody and access, child support and spousal support. She also assists clients with negotiating cohabitation or marriage agreements, as well as with adoption proceedings.
Bea will work with clients who wish to resolve disputes with their spouse through collaborative family law. Where that is not an option for her clients, she will use the tools of negotiation and mediation, as well as litigation when appropriate, to resolve family law disputes.
Bea is experienced with the division of complex family assets including corporate holdings and pensions. Her understanding of the tax consequences and various options for division of these assets allows her to effectively work with accountants and financial advisors to achieve sound settlements for her clients.
